This may sound silly, but we truly love weddings – the emotions, the
reactions, the nervousness, the attention to detail, and everything that goes
on at a wedding. We know that a lot of time and effort goes into planning a
wedding. Having a photographer who understands this ensures that you'll remember

How early in the wedding-planning
process should I book a wedding photographer?
If your wedding takes place during the Spring or Fall, during a holiday, or
on another popular date, you may want to consider booking your photographer
as early as 12 months ahead of time. At FocusTree Photography, we limit the
number of weddings we photograph to two per month to ensure that your wedding
receives the personalized attention it deserves. As a result, our wedding season

What is your style of photography?
Many couples searching for a wedding photographer are attracted to images that
look "natural" or unposed. This style of photography is referred
to as “documentary” or “photojournalism”.
FocusTree Photography specializes in photojournalism photography to capture
your wedding day without interference or interaction. The resulting photographs
will show your wedding in the most natural fashion. For those who treasure
the traditional poses of the bridal party and family members, we also include
those in our wedding services. In these instances, we will make suggestions
and interact with the subjects to ensure that they look their best.
What type of equipment do you use?
We use top of the line digital SLR cameras and lenses for our wedding photography.
We use a number of mutli-Gig memory cards, a portable hard drive, and laptop.
We also carry back up equipment including extra camera, lenses, and flashes.
Do I need to sign a wedding
photography contract?
Yes. We require the bride and groom to carefully read and sign our wedding
contract prior to reserving our services for your wedding day. The contract
specifies the services you will receive, along with the terms and conditions
of the agreement, including payment and cancellation policies.
